These
six models reflect Vic's forty plus years of experience as Solo
Timpanist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Each mallet is turned
from a single piece of rock maple, which eliminates a core that
could rattle and the need for a screw-on washer to secure the head.
Coupled with round seamless heads, they produce bigger and brighter
sounds. |

These timpani mallets produce a sound unique to the Baroque and classical repertoire. The shafts are bamboo, giving them a light, velvety feel. The heads, which are slightly smaller than contemporary mallets, produce a sharp and focused sound. Single strokes elicit airy, shimmering sounds. |

Corpsmaster®
timpani mallets are specifically designed to withstand the rigors
of outdoor performance applications. The mallets have straight,
non-tapered hickory shafts which put more weight forward toward
the mallet head. This produces greater sound with less effort for
maximum sound projection on the field. Their enhanced weight also
produces lower fundamentals from the drum head for a darker, fuller
sound. |

The
combination mallets utilize a drumstick at one end, with a TG31
felt timpani head attached to the butt end. All are handcrafted
in rock maple. |
